Epidemiology of hip & knee replacement across Pakistan according to Pakistan national joint registry: A cross-sectional study

Objective: To know about the prevalence of hip and knee arthroplasty according to Pakistan National Joint Registry (PNJR).
 Methods: This is a retrospective cross-sectional study with data collection from number cases across in seven years (2014-2019) since inception PNJR. Stata version 16 was used for analysis. Mean & standard deviation reported quantitative variable frequency proportion were qualitative variables.
 Results: Our results showed total 14,875 people had replacement last 2014-2021 rate 14.8/100,000 population. age patient 79.9±15.9 67.2% patients being female 32.7% male. 5,167 2014-2021, 5.16/100,000 41.8±20.9 61.7% male 38.3% female.
 Conclusion: first epidemiological on rates based registry data, showing that more are performed as compared arthroplasty.
